Fragrance-free Makeup Finds Under 20 Bucks That Actually Work

The other day, I was perusing an article that featured affordable beauty finds. Between the refreshing face mist and the summery lippies, I quickly noticed a common theme — many of these options were not fragrance-free.
If you have a fragrance allergy, I feel you — shopping for makeup can be a bit of a struggle. I’ve found that I usually have to drop serious cash for fragrance-free makeup items that actually work well.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge advocate for investing in high-quality makeup products — but I also understand that there are a number of dupes and drug-store finds out there that perform just as well (if not better) than their high-end counterparts. So, why pay more for the same results?
Keep reading to explore some of my favorite wallet-friendly fragrance-free options that will definitely get the job done.

Glossier Lash Stick ($16)
When’s the last time you smelled your mascara — never? Same! Yet, there are a handful of mascara brands that include fragrance in their formula (one of the biggest surprises I encountered when going fragrance-free). When Glossier came out with their Lash Stick, I was ecstatic to learn that this instant cult-favorite also happened to be fragrance-free.
Not only did this product give me lashes for days, but it also had some serious lasting power. I’m talking no smudging or running even on the hottest summer days. Lash Stick is quickly becoming my favorite beauty find of the summer.

e.l.f. Instant Lift Eyebrow Pencil ($2)
A $2 brow stick — okay, hear me out on this one. I was skeptical at first, but ever since picking up this product, it’s become a staple in my daily routine. e.l.f.’s Brow Enhancer does a stellar job of filling in missing spots without looking heavy or overdone. At $2 a pop, you really can’t go wrong.

Maybelline FIT Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation Stick ($6.99)
Pro tip: If you’re going for a more natural look, purchase a foundation stick in a few shades darker than your skin tone, and use this as your bronzer instead. That’s exactly what I did with Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation Stick, and I love the “I just got back from the beach” feel this product creates. Its creamy consistency blends seamlessly onto the skin, creating the perfect sun-kissed look. Even better: you can find this stick at almost any local drugstore.

Glossier Cloud Paint in Storm ($18)
Another fan favorite that fragrance-free folks can use is Glossier’s Cloud Paint collection. Glossier recently released two new cheek shades (hooray!) and their hue “Storm” is perfect for the warmer months. This tint gives your cheeks a natural glow that will have people wondering if you’re wearing blush, or if you’re just a little flushed from the summer sun.
PS — Cheers to Glossier for coming out with so many fragrance-free options. I see you, Glossier.
